Capturing the Rhythm of Amman at Marriott Hotel

Story | Amman, Jordan

In Amman, architecture is more than stone and structure. It is a rhythm of terraces, arches, and warm-toned facades that tell stories of a city constantly evolving yet
deeply rooted in memory. When Jeedar was invited to curate 1,049 bespoke artworks for the Marriott Hotel, the mission was to translate Amman’s silent elegance into
visual poetry.
The result is Amman in Lines, a collection that reimagines the city’s architecture through refined minimalism and delicate abstraction.

A City Reimagined in Linear Form

Amman in Lines takes inspiration from the capital’s layered urban fabric. The artworks distill the essence of Amman’s houses, staircases, and skyline into compositions
defined by clean lines and subtle sketches.
Each piece carries the warmth of Amman’s tones — soft beiges, sunlit whites, and muted earthy shades — woven into a balance of simplicity and depth. The artworks
are not literal portraits of buildings; instead, they are meditations on the city’s rhythm, where form and feeling merge into a timeless narrative.

From Architecture to Storytelling

As Jeedar noted, “Our artworks reflect how we saw Amman’s houses and architecture not just as buildings, but as living stories shaped through color, sketch, and
memory.”
This philosophy guided every stage of the project. By reducing Amman’s architectural essence into minimal strokes and abstract geometries, the collection invited
guests of the Marriott to experience the city in a new way — one that feels intimate yet universal, modern yet nostalgic

An Immersive Guest Journey

Walking through the Marriott, guests encounter corridors and spaces where each wall offers a subtle reflection of the city outside. The artworks evoke Amman’s skyline
not as a literal view, but as a memory translated into art.
For international travelers, the collection becomes a quiet introduction to Amman’s identity. For locals, it is a familiar echo of home, expressed with elegance and
restraint. Together, the pieces transform the hotel into a gallery of belonging.

Why It Matters
Hospitality art is not just about filling walls. It is about creating spaces that resonate with meaning. Through Amman in Lines, Jeedar ensured that the Marriott Hotel is
not only a place of comfort, but also a canvas that celebrates the city it inhabits.
Because Amman is not just seen — it is felt.
